Visitor Information
First-time visitors
If you are planning on visiting Saint Luke's to worship, perhaps for
the first time, why not let us know in advance? We look forward to
welcoming you. This website will give you all the most up to date
information on Mass and special services. Please always feel confident to contact the Parish Office if you have any questions about attending Saint Luke's. We try our best to be welcoming! After the main Sunday Mass, there are usually refreshments and a chance to chat. Please introduce yourself to the Vicar, the Churchwardens and members of the congregation.
Children
Children are very welcome at Saint Luke's. We have a selection of colouring equipment and some quiet toys at the back of church and during the 10.00am Mass on Sunday, there is 'Young Church', which explores the theme of the day but in a child-friendly way. All children are welcome to attend. The leaders and children will set off for this just after Mass begins. Please follow along!
Accessibility
Worshippers and visitors with disabilities are most welcome at Saint Luke's. If you require any assistance to make the most of a visit to the Church, it would be helpful (though it is not essential) to contact the Parish Office first to ensure that we can make any special arrangements you may feel are necessary. Disabled visitors who have not contacted us in advance are still most welcome, and please feel confident to ask for assistance on arrival.
Wheelchair ramps into the Church and to an accessible toilet facility by the Hall are readily available.
Large print copies of the hymn books are available at every service.
An induction loop system is installed and in use during services. Please turn your hearing aid to the T setting.
If you are unable to get to the Altar rail to receive the Sacrament, please tell one of the Welcome Team, and they will make sure the Priest brings the Sacrament to you at your seat during Communion.
