Saint Luke’s is a family-friendly church in the Catholic tradition of the Church of England.  Since 1851 it has proclaimed the Christian faith in Word and Sacrament and today endeavors to provide welcoming worship which is accessible to all.

SACRAMENTS

Mass is celebrated 5 days a week, in faithful obedience to the command that Jesus gave his disciples to share in his body and blood 'in remembrance of me'. It is through our communion with the Lord that we grow together as the community of faith in this place.  All that we do together in church and in the wider community is based on this foundation.

THE PARISH PRAYER

God our Father, through your Holy Spirit you grow your Church as we proclaim the kingdom of your risen Son. Bless us with deepening faith and an increase in our community. Help us to be a beacon of your love to everyone we meet.  We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

BUILDING

Our attractive church is to be found on the south side of Howard Davis Park on Route du Fort, St Saviour. Jersey is blessed with many historic Churches, but Saint Luke's has something very special to offer the Island in its particular Catholic worship, enhanced by its musical tradition.

As we offer our praise to God, so we try to help all who come here grow in their faith and go out from the church into the wider world as faithful witnesses to his love. Thus, we welcome everyone, from those who are not quite sure yet what they think about Christianity to those who have been on the Christian journey for many a long year.

COMMUNITY

Saint Luke's has a good range of active and well supported youth groups, adult groups and events based in and around the church, and a growing social programme. See "What's on" for more information.

To make sure we cater for everyone, including the very youngest members of the congregation, we offer 'Young Church' during the Sunday 10.30 Mass.

The 'children's liturgy', follows the same themes that are being explored and celebrated by the rest of the community, but does so at an age-appropriate level.
